About

Welcome to my blog.
Let’s talk……
..

I’ve been called a lot of things….

Mom mostly.
Honey. ❤
A leader.
A bigot.
Smart.
Stupid.
Passionate.
Stubborn.

Most of them apply.

I’m not a bigot though.

That’s not something anyone should have to say out loud; especially right off the bat while introducing themselves to the world.

But in a world where speaking hard truths about sensitive and deeply personal issues and ideologies, instinctively triggers a presumption of hatred and moral disdain on the part of anyone who challenges the alleged to be prevailing narrative; pointing out the fallacy of the presumption, has proven to be unfortunately and very evidently necessary.

The hatred and bigotry accusations and victim class claims are a cop out. Unfortunately, in the modern day political and social climate, they are a dangerously effective one. Nevertheless, a tired and at this point, entirely transparent facade.

They are the weapon of the cancel culture; where social and political issues are no longer decided by thoughtful consideration and discussion; but by who can shut down the opposing view first by claiming the greatest injury sans any actual evidence or analyses.

While the cancel culture may provide a short term high for the folks riding it, it is going to hurt like hell when they come crashing down. And crash for certain, they will.

Public policy constructed as response to personal offenses taken, is not only absurd as a premise; it is a charade and a fraud being perpetrated on our entire civilization.

The victim classes are never the ultimate beneficiaries of the public policies which allege to respond to their plight.

They are merely the groups that provide the narratives to the power class who have absolutely no concern for their well being, but whose hands far too many people are willing to deliver their fates into.

That concept is one for many a blog post to come, for sure.

For now, the reason for the blog itself:

We need to have these conversations.

The consequences of the decisions we are making (or allowing to be made on our behalf) and the policies we are adopting, are monumental; and in many instances socially, spiritually and politically devastating.

One of the most profound ironies of the cancel culture, is that the harm ultimately manifest by the policies it has produced, is often worst imposed on the very people advocating for the policies.

Because they’ve never stopped to consider the actual consequences of the policies before they chose to advocate for them.

We need to do that now.

We should have done it first.

We have a lot of catching up to do.

We need to acknowledge that the potentially devastating consequences of the policies we are adopting are worth the time and effort and fortitude it takes to consider them.

We need to acknowledge that not liking the implications of the discussion, is not cause enough not to have it. Nor to deem anyone who insists that we do consider the consequences of our decisions before we adopt the policies; a bigot.

I’m a wife, a mother, a Catholic and a patriot.
I’m passionate and stubborn.

But I’m not a bigot.

We need to talk…….
